Want to craft costumes and armor for cosplaying? Come join us! Whether you’re a sewer or prop-maker, fantasy adventurer, or space pirate, all ages, skill levels, and skill sets are welcome. We have basic supplies and equipment. Feel free to drop in anytime and bring your own projects.

Art Lab: Painted Leaf Prints

Magic? No, it’s science! You’ll learn the secrets behind famous magic that you can recreate for yourself! Mother Nature has some tricks of her own, and Mad Science will show you what’s up her sleeve! For kids in grades K-6.


EVENT PICK OF THE WEEK

OMSI New monthly planetarium concert series called Kendall Concerts: Music Under the Dome. Every month, musicians from all genres will perform in the planetarium with lasers, stars, and galaxies flashing across the domed screen (it’s super cool).

Concert Schedule

The Brothers Billygoat | September 2, 8 p.m.
This duo featuring harp, keyboard and percussion will play beneath beautiful and intricate self-made stop-motion films, projected on the Kendall Planetarium’s 52-foot dome.

The Bylines | October 14, 7 p.m.
A jazz-inspired, story-driven pop duo, who most recently worked with the Oregon Symphony and Carnegie Hall to create the “Lullaby Project”.


The Bookmobile Babe

A non-profit organization that provides literary resources to underserved populations in Portland.

We’re doing a book exchange where we ask for kids books for ages 1-18 and then people can take a book home from us as well.
