Fairy House Workshop
Sellwood-Moreland Library
Tuesday July 17 @ 2:00 – 4:00pm
Create miniature fairy houses and gardens. Use small boxes, tea cups, flowers, lights and trinkets. For children grades kindergarten through 5th grade. Tickets available 30 minutes before the event begins and it’s free!

A non-profit organization that provides literary resources to underserved populations in Portland.

Creston Park every Tuesday and Thursday from 1-3 pm
Lents Park every Monday and Friday from 1-3 pm.

We’re doing a book exchange where we ask for kids books for ages 1-18 and then people can take a book home from us as well.

We’re also being sponsored by the Portland Pickles on July 23. Bring a book to the game for the Bookmobile!

Meet the Oregon Bird Man and his parrots! This educational and entertaining program features a wide assortment of parrot species from four continents — including many endangered species. Learn about the natural history and unique behaviors of these beautiful creatures as well as what is happening to them today in the wild and things to know about parrots before getting one as a pet.

Valencia, Spain: Hidden Gem

Join local artist Harold Walkup as he shares experiences from the year he lived in Spain. In particular, he will talk about the history and art of Valencia and highlights of traveling in the city’s vicinity, situated on the east coast of Spain.
