This was the year to root for maybe not necessarily performances but actors that hadn’t been given due credit before.

Sam Rockwell finally won an Oscar for his performance in Three Billboards Outside of of Ebbing Missouri A mother personally challenges the local authorities to solve her daughter’s murder when they fail to catch the culprit.

Gary Oldman has worked as an actor for 36 years and he’s finally walking away with an Oscar. I couldn’t believe when I heard that. I’m so happy for him and found his Oscar winning role in The Darkest Hour magnificent.

Roger A. Deakins finally wins, I guess 14th time is a charm, for his cinematography in Blade Runner 2049. He’s been the cinematographer on a few films you may have heard of including Fargo, The Village, No Country for Old Men, and Sicario.

I’m also rewatching Breaking Bad and rewatched Speed and The Net. Also for all of you Oregonians out there I’m watching Gravity Falls and I’m loving it.
